‘Zero to Podium’ isn’t feminist movie: director

Female director for Iranian film ‘Zero to Podium’ says in an ifilm exclusive report that her flick bears no feminist label.

Sahar Mosayyebi said to ifilm, “From the very beginning, we intended not to have labels put on this movie; to label it as a feminist movie, even though there are women who are athletes."

She also claims that her flick “might be the first movie made about female sports in the cinema industry of Iran.”

'Zero to Podium' documentes the lives of three Iranian sisters who are Wushu fighters from a small town of Semirom in Iran.
